I have two 5 gallon, unopened buckets of New Holland Ambra hydraulic fluid that have been in the barn safely tucked away for 10 years. Has this degraded or become less efficacious? I really don’t want to buy 10 more gallons at today’s prices…

Look for expiration date on it. If it doesn't have one and still has factory seal you should be good to go!

I would think it would be ok. Or a lab test might tell.

How old is the tractor it's going into.
I wouldn't worry about it.

Awesome, will look for date. Going into a Tc40da with 1,600 hours. Last changed hydraulic oil at 500 hours…

My uncle the refinery manager always said that oil is millions of years old; another 10 years is nothing.
