I had an aunt that got paid by a deodorant company to sit in a climate controlled room and read magazines with a bunch of other people for a time period. Then some other people would sniff their armpits and record results.

She said it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

The old folks around here taught me to pronounce guano "gyou-anna" it rhymed with "stew-anna". I was puzzled to hear the accepted pronunciation. Crayfish was even more of a surprise.
