I'm looking at a clean one, no loader, 4wd with r4's, little less than 900 hours.

So far everything checks out. Anything in particular I should look out for or be aware of?

Thanks!

Hydro or gear, super steer or not? Previous life with a home owner or turf farm or golf course? I think the condition of the R4s will tell you about as much as anything, assuming they are original. If not, jack up a front wheel, lock into 4wd and check for slop in the drivetrain. good luck!

Gear, no super steer, homeowner. Tires, floorboards, overall condition match the hours.

I like it. It's hard to abuse a gear drive. The clutch usually suffers the abuse if there is any. Put it to work and watch those green machines gather dust. (brand bashing as usual).

Looks like a good unit to me. I doubt the tractor has been abused too much looking at the overall condition. Since it does not have a FEL that IMHO is a negative but typically less opportunity for abuse. Tractor House has a few listed from 12K to 15K with FEL. You should be able to negotiate pretty well on it since it is sans FEL. You can always add one later but you are looking at 4K or more.

I'm keeping my other tractor that has a loader and intend to use this one for food plots and mowing trails at my other land to keep from having to haul a tractor so much.

Just be careful about the weight of what goes on the 3PT. I added 200# of weight to the front of my Boomer 8N as the 6' cutter made the front end light. I really need to add the bracket and another 300# of weight as it sometimes doesn't turn too well, still a little light.

Yeah I wish it had some weights I've got to come up with some.
