Switching decks on 2185 to a 2180

I came across a 2185 with a 48 inch deck,I was wondering would the deck work on my 2180,which holds a 42 inch deck?Please any info or thoughts on this? thanks!

I wouldn't see why not. When I got my 2518 there were 3 sizes of decks for that model 44, 46 and 48.
I'd call a dealer and ask.
