Steering problem on M105X

Boy i am upset i took my tractor in on monday to the dealer where i bought it for a hard to turn steering problem it is in warranty till the last of octomber 08.They tell me there is nothing wrong with it they checked the pump and said it was ok. I am going up there tomorrow to test a M108X to compare to mine.When tractor is at 1500 RPM's and you have a load in the front end loader such as a roll of hay or a bucket of dirt or gravel and you are not moving the steering is hard.Even without a load if you turn the steering wheel real fast it has hard spots in it.Anybody here have a M95x,M105X,125X that can do the load on frontend test for me?

Well, I don't have an M105X but I DO have an M-series (M7040). I don't know how similar the steering mechanism is. But when I have had the FEL maxed out I can turn the wheel like butter even when not moving at all. It is as smooth as silk. I would definitely question it if I were you too because I don't think Kubota would make the nature of steering THAT much different in these two tractors which are in the same family.

M9540 Grand Cab FEL with hay spike. Very large bale, steers very easy, no hard spots. Good luck with your tractor, hope it is something simple.

I have a B-26, when I have a full bucket the steering can be very sticky, it will go through a few difficult spots, and then seems to "break free", i figured it was due to a under powered engine and pump

Well i went to the dealer that has my tractor and i drove a new one just like mine and it does the same thing as mine.I can't believe a $50,000 tractor will not turn when you are not moving with a load on the front.I guess i will go get it tomorrow

Dear M...freak insist your Dealer use Kubota technical support after one hour of diagonistics. My "X" Dealer insisted I'd have to pay for my front drive axle noise if they couldn't find anything wrong with my M9540DT. The Dealer Principle come to my home and still couldn't find a mal-torqued hub. Make sure they test it under the exact loading conditions. I'll keep involved with this one. Most M Series owners are too busy working to assist other owners with problems so many go unreported.
