Umm....buy a seal & packing kit and replace it? :confused2:

I think you're not getting answers because your question is pretty vague...

How do I get it apart? Cut the weld and reweld it?
Got a part number for the seal kit?

Hmm...I cant tell from the pics, I dont have a rotator like that on my blower, so without seeing it, I couldnt honestly give you advice...Most cylinders dont need to be cut apart, I suppose anything is possible, but I've never seen one like that.
IMO, might be easier for you to just remove the cylinder and bring it to your dealer or a hydraulic shop. It sometimes takes special tools to take em apart, and reassemble. If cylinder repair isnt something you plan on doing often, its usually cheaper to have it done then to buy the tools etc...

Yup, JD in there wisdom (or lack there of) used some welded cylinders:mad:, I have seen them used for steering also.

I only have two suggestions:

1. Take it to a local shop and get an estimate, but read #2

2. Find a simular cylinder in specs (bore, rod and stroke) and replace it. You may have to modify the mounts-but in the long run you will be better off and it will probably be cheaper than option #1.

I'd add "option 3" (probably what I'd personally do)...

3. Find similar cylinder in specs like KennyD mentioned, but instead of modifying the mounts and everything like that, I'd have the cylinder modified to match the original....
