Snowblower on my BX24

Hi. Now I will need to buy a snowblower to fit my BX24. Kubota has an org. 50inc front mounted one. Anyone has experience of this?
50inc. sound quite wide for 17hp on the PTO....?

Thanks for your input on this subject!

You'll be fine. I run a 60" 3PH blower on my B7610, 24HP engine / 18HP PTO.

20 inches of powder snow was absolutely no problem, I could go full speed (reverse, low range) once I had the chains on the rear wheels -- couldn't push the full width into the snow w/o the chains due to the icy layer on the pavement. I had no problem with the heavy snow-plow piles either, although, I did slow down a little on those.

Have you considered a rear mount blower? They are not as comfortable to run but they allow the FEL to stay on and they are MUCH less money. Unlike with the front blower, there are numerous brands to choose from. I ended up with a 60" unit and am glad I didn't go any narrower.

Ditto! And it is nice to still have the FEL on the tractor for clean up, and any heavy-packed stuff from the plows. The blower can handle the heavy-packed stuff, but the FEL is quicker, and doesn't clog.
