I was looking at used RTV 1100's and noticed the newer ones have sliding side windows. I looked on Kubota.com and they don't show a good picutre of the windows. How well are these windows sealed up? In a heavy rain does it keep the rain water out of the cab properly? I can see it being very handy for spot spraying without having to remove the door.

I don't have the sliders but given that my cab doesn't leak in a driving rain, I'd assume the sliders wouldn't either.

I wish the windows rolled down instead of putting a fast food window in. It's certainly better than the solid glass for various uses.

I wouldn't think they would leak but the windows slide and they are mounted on the inside of the glass in a rail that looks like from the pictures is stuck on. Thats why I was wondering how Kubota dealt with the water that would run down the sliding windows, its got to go somewhere.

Don't know, but Kubota's cabs appear to be very well climate tested.

Hi There
I put a sliding window door on my1100.The window does not leak it is just as airtight as the old one.The main reason I did it was to be able to close doors without slamming them.I leave the window open so both doors close easier, made a difference if you have window wide open not much difference if
window only opened a little.Guess I should have bought them both but they were expensive, had to buy the whole door!

I have the windows that don't open and a buddy just got the sliders. I am on the fence on which I like better. Than non-slider seems to provide better views since it is a huge peice of unbroken glass where the slider chops up the window alot for only a tiny opening (9" I think) which doesn't seem very functional. I hear ya about closing the doors, the cab is so tight you have to slam the doors. Same on my F450 and it is a little annoying....but attests to the quality of the cab seal.

Did anyone notice the vent Kubota installed in the fire wall to eliminate the pressure when shutting the door ? I was going to install one in the back of the cab but looked at this years RTV and saw where they placed theirs in the fire wall. Much better location as you don't have to deal with the rain finding its way in. The vent looks exactly like one installed in an auto door, plastic housing with a rubber flap.

What year did they do that...Mine's an 09 and it doesn't have that.
