A local auction has a really nice TX1300 coming up for sale. It looks like it is brand new and also has a rototiller attached. I was told that on some of these tractors the PTO turns in the opposite direction as a USA tractor. Does anyone know if this particular tractor has that issue? Is there any reason not to buy this tractor? I want it for rototilling and I love the size. I have used my cousins Bolens, which from what I cab tell is the same tractor and I am blown away by what that little tractor can do.
Thanks.

i dont understand your dilemma here if the tx1300 is in good nick and you like the size you want it for rototilling and it has a rototiller attached what does it matter what way the pto turns...
the tx1300 is a robust tractor and will do you proud if you look after it it will keep doing the jobs you want it to

I have a tx1300 (and a tx1500), and i truly love it. Like second gear said: take good care of it, and it will be a very powerful and useful aid...

I didn't explain very well. If I wanted to use it for more than tilling the direction of the PTO would matter. Would this tractor have enough power for a 4 ft brush hog? I like it alot and do plan on budding on it. Thanks.

The tx1300 should be able to turn a 4 foot brush hog. I know I've seen a YouTube video of a kid running one. They are similar to the tx1500 and 2140. The 3 point and PTO are standard cat 1 and use implements for such.
Tractordata.com should have details beyond that and the owners manuals are available online here and there for free. If I can find the link I had I'll post it up.

I have TX1500, the engine has more power than you know what to do with and the hydraulics are great. The only problem is traction, the tractor needs more weight and they can tip over easy on hilly ground. My tractor had a 40 inch Howard Rotavator and you could bury it as deep as it would go and the engine had all the power you could want. Since these engines are of the old design, when you work them hard, they put out a nice plume of black smoke.
