i have been told that the idea of the handel's on the XPH, as on most russian saws was to keep the operator's head up in "clean air" while felling in shoveled out hole in deep snow.

the saw can be turned any position by loosening the knob on the tank and turning to desired position and retightening the knob.

Interesting. Wouldnt think that CO would be an issue... Just how deep is the snow in Russia

WHats that saw behind the XPH in the pictures? The one in front of the pruning saw on the bottom shelf with the long weird body? 339XP? If so how do you like it? You have quite a collection there even for a store.... Locally theres next to nothing stocked. :thumbsup:

the saw in question is a 339 and runs .325 .050 saw chain and the grab handles are further apart for saftey,unlike it's cusin the 338 next to it which runs .050 3/8 pitch lo pro saw chain (much better than .325 ) the 338 is an arborist's saw (bucket or one handed) so they are the same saw internaly, just with different handle's and saw chain. the 339 would be much faster cutting imho with 3/8's lo pro (91 series oregon) why the mfg does that is anybody's guess :confused2:
