I just went down the road, picked it up and while I was at sellers house, I unscrewed gas cab.
This saw is brand new. Never even had fuel in it. Mint condition. Same as new.
I gave him $200 and headed home.

Fueled it up and I was shocked that it started in 5-6 pulls and runs very well. Like zero smoke for a 2-cycle.

Now I have the drill and the saw.

There are no spare parts-at least not to my knowledge. Ryobi stopped making them like 25+ years ago. You can’t even get an air filter for them.
If you really want to use one hard, better have a “parts” machine in case your “runner” takes a dump.

I use the hammer drill here and there, but the recip saw….well….let’s just say this one I will have to find a use for. 😁

Yes! I was kind of sweating that, too. The blade end looks just like a modern sawzall blade end.
However, it has an allen-key style removal tool, so it’s not “tool-less”. It does have a tethered allen key, so at least it shouldn’t get lost. You can see it just forward of the fuel tank on its’ tether.

like it. assume your fuel is always ethanol free. carb parts could be a tough one, but if it works, sounds like it's a go.
leaving it stored w/dry tank can also pose carb problems vs leaving fuel for long storage of non use if properly treated, regards

I think it has a Walbro carb.
It sat without fuel for over 25 years. I fueled it for the first time today ever, and it started in 6 pulls. That blew my mind.

Neat tool. I have a Skidril post pounder tool. It's also gas powered and will drive up to 3" pipe. It's been flawless to date, but I always run premium Stihl 2-cycle and I'm meticulous on the layup.

Many years ago we had a gas powered drill with a 5 or 6 foot extension boom. We used it to drill holes for running wires thru ceiling joist. No ladder needed. But sure could smoke out a jobsite.

Other trades not happy while we worked

My Ryobi Drill smokes a little, but this sawzall doesn’t.
These things run on 20:1 ~ 25:1 according to the cap, or the carb cover
