Rt65 cub tiller tines very loose?

I have the rt65 with Honda engine. It is about 6 years old and has been great so far. I got it out to till up the weeds in my garden and started noticing there was about a 2 or 3 inch path where the weeds were not being touched. When I looked at the tines the whole rod that the tines attach to is very loose. I can wiggle the whole assembly back and forth about a couple inches. All the tines spin when it is in the air. I tried a search first but couldn't find anyone with this issui. Is the trans broke inside the housing some how? Is there a bearing going bad?Please help.
