I used the seat harness and the roll bar worked perfectly.

My Kubota B2630 was on its side for less than 15 minutes, supported by the roll bar, rear left tire, and the 60 inch bucket. No visible damage or problems. After a short while, it started on the third try and blue a good bit extra blue smoke, which I suspect was extra fuel spill into the muffler. After a few minutes all was normal. It started fine afterwards and seems normal, and all fluid level seem fine.

Even though it was on its side for such a short time, I have major regrets about attempting to start it those first two attempts. I worry that if there was a little oil in the cyclinder, I may have done some damage.

Before I begin using it again, I wondered what precautions to take, or what subtle things I should look for. What symptoms should I look/listen for now? Are there any tests I can do to check for a bent rod?

Are stupid mistakes covered under warranty or Kubota insurance? !!

I have just 35 hours on it, so I thought about taking it in early for the 50 hr service rather than doing it myself as planned; perhaps the pros will notice a problem I'd miss.

Hi Curt,

Good to hear that your OK /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif & the safety devices works & that you had them on.

Your Kubota should be fine, It's a good idea, if it should ever happen again (hope not) to leave the machine upright for 10-20min without touching it (fuild to settle out). Check your oil, prestone.

Turn your Key on for a 2min (for fuel to bleed air out), then start her up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry that I cannot answer all your questions, but the TBN guys will take it from here.

CURT,
Im no expert, but ill bet your just fine. Why do you think you hurt something if it sounded fine?I dont see what it would hurt even if you had a little oil ,come in on topside, even if it could.Like previously said, check your fluids, you should be golden.as for warrenty stuff dont tell em.they never have said, flipping it over would void the warrenty,so dont mention it.howd you toss her over any how, just nosy so i dont follow in your footsteps.BOTTOM LINE IS kubota diesals are pretty bullet proof from what i here

we had one customer flip an L3130 and loader end over end (i have no idea how). The hood was dented, but other than that it ran just fine.

a pretty standard series of mistakes:

I was just shy of level on a flattened area I carved into the slope while preparing for a slab.

I lifted the bucket about 4ft up, half full but biased toward the left.

I turned the wheel and the left front sank in. It was very slow motion. I went to jump but was strapped in, so I went along for the ride. In the end I was fully protected. I turned off the engine, hit the orange seat belt button and walked way, thinking, "Wow, that was way too easy" And now I have a brand new respect for slopes and that folding ROPS.

Keep an eye on your oil and water levels for awhile to see if they change or make more. Other than that try to stay in a vertical position when operation your tractor /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

Welcome to TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Sorry to here about you rolling your tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Glad you received no injury to yourself. Other than your pride. Your tractor should be OK.

I'm not sure warranty or Kubota insurance would cover damage from a rollover. Your homeowners insurance may cover though.
You do not mention having any weight on your 3PH. I would hope that your dealer gave you information on properly counterbalancing loads on the FEL with weight on 3PH.

How did you get it back upright so quickly?

I have been in situations with my L3400 where I could have tipped just like you did. Keeping the bucket low is critical on a slope.

One thing I have conditioned myself to think about is to immediately drop the bucket fast if you start to feel yourself tipping. By getting the bucket load on the ground it really helps. Thinking about this procedure before it happens, and conditioning yourself to automatically react by dropping the bucket is key... it can happen too fast to think through it.

It was on its side for 15 minutes and you didn't get any pictures? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I know, taking photos was probably the last thing on your mind.

If your tractor seems to be running fine with no odd colored smoke or loss of power you should be good to go. Make sure your battery didn't leak any acid anywhere, top off all of your fluids, and keep the sticky side down from now on. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
