Steve - no luck, I could not find the part you described. I find it odd that if I have the hitch set halfway up, with the selector at "Depth," it sinks to the ground if I move the selector to "Load" or "Load/Depth." I have no hitch action at all in those settings. In "Depth" I can move the hitch but it does not hold position well - it tends to rise or sink slowly and I have to adjust constantly. I can use only the settings from "0" to about "4." At higher number, the hitch goes to the bottom. On the plus side, the hydraulic pump seems to have plenty of power.

In the fall when temps have cooled off, I'll open up the control mechanism and hope the problems are there and not in the valves. That would require having the unit professionally rebuilt.

Any luck or info as to if this was fixed or resolved. I think i'm having the same issues you describe. Any info would be great.

The only "correct method" to repairing your 3pt hitch control problem is adjust the L/D mechanism as outlined in a JD service manual. Back when I was a JD dealer service manager I supervised these tasks and if performed correctly barring any worn out components will correct the problem. Adjusting only one or two linkages is a band aid.
