Jinma 284
Hello everyone. I just joined yesterday and this is my first post. I have owned this Jinma 284 for about five years now after buying it used and in pretty rough condition. Except for being awfully hard to work on, I think it is a pretty good, tough little tractor. So earlier this week I was turning over some compost when a heard a loud "bang" and suddenly there was no clutch.
I managed to get it back to the shop by starting it in gear an upon a cursory examination of the linkage, I noticed that the lever connecting the pedal to the shaft that goes into the transmission was moving or "spinning" slightly around the shaft.
How on God's Green Earth do I remove and replace what I believe to be a broken shear pin? There is a frame support gusset directly above this pin which makes it impossible to drive it out with a punch. As near as I can tell this pin consists of a pair of "roll pins, one within the other. From what I have read on this forum this seems like a common occurrence but I can find no ideas on how to get that broken pin out.
