Go to youtube and search for videos by "Handful of tranquility." These are the "how not to do it" videos that you should watch.

Yikes! That tractor is going to be destroyed in less than three years.

For doing any FEL work definitely rear ballast, if tractor has only rear brakes and you have heavy load in FEL and rear of tractor is light, YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT HAVE ANY BRAKES......

Bucket level indicator is a really helpful and use full tool that can be made for almost nothing....

I have small tractor (SCUT) and a 500-600lb. ballast on rear makes all the difference in world....

For Youtube video, anything from "Tractor Mike" seems pretty informative as well...

Now I'm off to spend hours following "Outdoors With The Morgans" on Youtube...

Only had to watch first minute or so to know owner is clueless on how to use tractor.....

You need to experience the one where he's refilling propane bottles in his kitchen. Then he decides that's too dangerous so he moves the process into the garage!

Videos? Nothing about tractors, but a lot about everything used to work on them. Unfiltered, but entertaining, can't watch with kids.

If you push all the way forward on the loader stick it will go into float. There's a detent there so you won't have to constantly push forward or anything.

Float is somewhat handy for light backdragging, never really had much other use for it.

Float removes the hydraulic downpressure from the FEL, so just the weight of the FEL is pushing against the ground.

Check out "Tractor Time With Tim". He chronicles basically his entire journey from novice to paid landscaper. There's a huge amount of videos, so I'll leave you to sort through them yourself.

Thanks for the shout-out.

We have several videos discussing the float option.

I know theres more to moving material around with a FEL or a backhoe than just filling the buckets with as much material as possible, there is a right and wrong way, wrong way strains/breaks the machine.

I wouldnt know the difference between right or wrong ...

Not really. I ain't never sat on no tractor a'fore, let alone one with any kind of digger. I din't need no vee-de-ohhhh to figure things out. I learn by doing, not watching others try to be TV stars. Yeah, I have a whole lot more to learn, but I have to do it in the seat, pushing levers, watching things move and see how they react.

No problem. My uses for a tractor are quite a bit different than your usual fare, but I still learn things and find you entertaining.

Thanks!

Our intent is to be entertaining. To show that we don’t have to take ourselves too seriously.
Life is too short to be so serious all the time.
