I just wanted to get some oppinions for rear ballast on a DK40SE. Is there any need for extra rear wieght if I have fluid in the tires? If I've figured it correctly 75% rim guard in the tires should be around 1100-1200 lbs right? I don't have any impliments yet, and was just wondering how much more (if any) wieght I will need to hold the rear end on the ground when doing heavy FEL work. My nieghbor has an old box blade (not sure if it's 5ft or 6ft) but I'm gonna see if he wants to sell it if it's 6ft.. How much does the average 6ft. box blade wiegh?
Thanks, Daniel

I was too dumb to get rimguard put in my DK40se even though I had a good experience with my CK20 and beet juice. I will eventually load the tires with windshield washer fluid myself but as of now I am completely dependent on 3pt ballast. What I can say is that a Woods SR72 box blade is marginal and a back hoe provides just adequate ballast (in absence of loaded tires). A relatively light flail mower is not enough. In dry dirt with R4s I can spin all four wheels when pushing (with mower or box blade) if but I'd estimate that the 1000+ pounds of tire ballast would be adequate to stop that.
