Hi Pete! I negotiated the first service at no charge to myself except materials and it will be done on my premises, but in the future, I'll do it myself. Short of a major problem, I take care of all of my vehicles myself and enjoy doing so. Are you stll happy with your new Boomer? Hope so! Looks like we have a rain storm moving in and maybe my soil will loosen up and the dust stay put. I may buy one of those diesel tanks that fit in the back of a pickup, that has a pump and nozzle, since liftin' those 5 gal jugs is getting old! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Sam

Just a note, when I got my NH survey, My dealer called me and said if I would fill it out and bring it to them they would give me a free oil filter and enough free oil for an oil change. And, they did/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I don't know if it was just my dealer or if it was something NH was sponsoring. The dealer told me NH was really wanting to get these surveys filled out.

Sam,

I still really like my big boomer. The other day I was helping my new neighbor. I was bush hoggin for him. He is new to the area so he didn't know but he has old barbed wire on his property. Ouch! I thought hitting a rock was bad. The whole tractor shook like I've never experienced, even after I pulled the cutter off the ground. Got to be more careful. Know what you mow! On the other hand helped the same neighbor clean out some old stalls. That was tons of fun. Lots of loader work. Hopefully I'll get to take the tractor out some more this weekend.

If you are tired of lifting those 5 gallon jugs of diesel you might want to try calling around to find a fuel service. Here in Illinois many of the companies that provide propane and heating oil also provide off-road diesel and gasoline. Not only do you avoid lifting those heavy jugs but you also avoid mucho road taxes and, depending on your dealer, the above ground tank might even be free! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I was expecting to have to buy a tank and my deaer said, "nah, we'll just let you use it free as long as you use our service, where would you like it placed?" Can't beat that deal.
