Price Check Price check on M7040

I have been reading posts on this site for some time now. I find that you all provide a great deal of knowledge and experience. I have only checked with one dealer who is the closest at this point so I am not sure if this price is way off or not. The dealer is over a hundred miles from where I live. (Kind of gives you a perspective of how remote the area is.)

Price of the tractor includes loaded R1's and delivery. The dealer also included the filters and oil for the first service (Which I will do.)

I bought a 7040 4wd w/ Kubota bucket and new 6' BushHog 296. Delivered. No cab or extra remote. I run my hoses to the back. $30,500 w/ tax.
They can't feel that they are the only game in town.

You did not mention what you plan to use the tractor for, I'll just point out that you can jump from the 7040 up to the 8540 for not a big price difference.

As for your price, I just got the following from the Kubota website for a new M7040HDC:
Base MSRP including selected tires $37,134.00
Factory Assembly $170.00
Loader $5,361.00
Loader Bucket $653.00
Third Function Control Valve $779.00
Optional Valves $769.00
Total Configured Price of Model* $44,866.00

This is brand new MSRP, I think you should be able to get a discount in the range of 10 - 15 %. So I think your quote of $41,000 for just the M7040HDC and loader is a bit high.

I just purchased a new 2008 M8540HDC (4wd, hydraulic shuttle & cab,) with the LA1353 FEL and two sets of remotes for $36K. Also got the 0% for 60mo. as well. If you shop around you should be able to find a much better deal.
