Hello, I'm going to look at a JD 770 with 775 hours. The owner states it's in excellent condition and always stored indoors. The photos seem to back up those claims. It has turf tires, new battery, canopy and no implements. I failed to ask but it appears to be 2WD. He's asking $4,500 or best offer. Any pricing advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Does it have a mower? It would be a better deal in MWFD. They are a very dependable tractor......are you aware that it is a gear drive?

Sounds like a reasonable deal for a 2wd tractor.
I assume you'll be using it to mow or brush hog, as that would be the strong suit for a 2wd of this size. As whitey mentioned, its gear drive. It will pull a 5 foot finsih mower all day, every day and will be a joy to run. Without the loader for ballast and 4wd, you'd probably be limited to a 4 ft brush hog. My 5 footer makes the frontend light and will push it around ( think tail wags the dog) on a quick turn.
Also - do yourself the favor and ditch the turf tires if your uses are other than lawn mowing. I will be doing the same, just not in the budget right now. Pulling my 5 ft brush hog, I need 4wd and frequently use the differential lock on our our hills (its all hills). Without the added traction of 4wd also known as MFWA (mechanical front wheel assist), you will encounter traction problems unless mowing a flat lawn.
BTW - these little machines are incrediblely reliable and strong. My little 770 has sat outside for a long time and continues to be super reliable.
