Total area of the fire breaks on all 4 sides of my property total about 2 1/2 to 3 acres. Takes about an hour an acre for annual maintenance. It would be less but the Blecavator really needs 40 HP to operate efficiently and I only have 30. I have to run PTO RPM in middle range and then it frequently overloads and I have to stop and lift it.
We only have another month or so of rain so the final inch we get will not be enough for weeds to grow through the dry summer.

Unfortunately they are made in England and current price is $15,000. I got mine at a school district auction for $200.00! The bidders crowd was looking for electronics and furniture. My bid was the only bid.

That’s the current model. Mine is an older 130 which is 52” wide (vs 145) but basically the same machine.

Every spring I use the rippers on my box scraper to loosen things up, then my railroad tie "grader" to smooth things out.
