Power steering fluid coming out reservoir, help!

I just bought a ford 3000 with add on anadolu PS unit. It ran fine for 10 hours and then PS fluid started coming out of a hole in the cap(which I believe is a spray paint can top). I removed the reservoir today and found that the filter has catastrophically failed(top separated form the bottom). I am not a PS guy so I am using my limited knowledge base. This small cylinder shaped filter has a solid metal top and screen forming the circumference. I am assuming that this acts as a baffle the slow agitated PS(ATF) fluid and thus this is why fluid is coming out of the little overflow hole. Am I on the right track? If I am. I need to find a substitute for this filter due to the age and make of the PS unit I think it will be next to impossible. If anyone has a substitute part # or source please let me know. The filter screws onto the incoming oil fitting. I am thinking I can get some screen and putting it in the reservoir or get a elbow plumbing fitting but I am really at a loss, please help.!

You "might" be able to get the filter out without removing the reservoir. Just use google, you'll find any part your looking for those tractors.

Anadolu parts are ungoogleable. I have emailed the company. I think I might be able to rig a close substitute out of a foot valve from the plumbing section at lowes.
