I drive my little Tercel to my property cause it's 41 miles per gallon. ( 2hrs away )

I sometimes use it as a truck ( I've got 4 of them and think they are the next best thing to sliced bread )

I remove the seats and it's amazing what I can carry.

I'm looking for a plastic 30-50 gallon storage container that I can fill up at home with water and transfer when I get to the property.

Not sure what key words I need to use?

I need a fill cap at the top, something rectangular.

Thanks

Thanks, I'm gonna do that when stores open, too early now.

I'm looking for the cheapest possible alternative, I plan to dig my well in just a few months when it cools down.

You might find something used somewhere, but for drinking water, I'm pretty sure I'd rather buy new. I've seen sprayer tanks in that size range you could use for water now, then spray mixes later after you have a water source there. They usually have 12V pumps included, but run as high or higher than the prices above.

I know camping store have various options including some collapsible ones, but I have no idea how they're priced.

Maybe something smaller ... 5 or 10 gallon and carry a few? For that matter, they sell water in those 5 gallon bottles for upright dispensers and I think the bottles are returnable/exchangeable. Wouldn't be difficulty to build a carrier frame to hold 5 or 6.

One other thought ... 55 gallon barrels can be found for a few dollars. Some contained some sort of soap solution that can be thoroughly washed out. Might take a few rinsings, maybe with a mild bleach solution to sanitize. I'm not sure I'd want to drink a lot of water from one, but maybe small amounts. You could make a frame out of wood blocks and straps to hold it in place.

The plastic containers from IBC totes are the right shape and configuration, but would be too big. Many of them are food grade (vegetable oil). You might investigate that option too.

I know it's not rectangular like you want but you said cheap as possible. You can find 55 gal drums for free. They are used for all kinds of food products like vinegar and maple syrup and have threaded bungs that are easy to use with standard plumbing fittings.

Waterbed bladder.

They used to have waterbed pillows, about 4-5 feet long. More of a conversation piece but useless. Maybe 20-40 gallons of water.
