What I stated earlier is fact from my exposure. You do know as well, that proper service intervals are what's REALLY important to the life of your equipment.

Our Car Quest Auto in town runs a special on their Wix filters during the Month of March. It is intended for the farmers to stock up for the year but it also includes auto as well, I just learned about it yesterday when I stopped in for some other things. I stocked up on my car and truck and motorcycle filters, glad I did after reading these posts. They only had one filter for my CRV so I said I would be in Tuesday for more, looks like I will pick some up for the DX 40 also.

I order all my filters and parts from Messicks. They are a great dealer. My local one is NOT.
I use rotella synthetic 5w-40 in all our diesels too and love it. The tractor and all of my trucks had a noticeable mpg improvement when I switched and they just run better. It's hard to explain. The powerstrokes really run better on it.

Just call messicks for your parts. They will take care of you and you can be sure of getting the right parts from them too.

I just bought 12 filters and six gallons of oil for my tractors from ABC Auto. They are like Napa, except they have more things in stock and when they say they will have it tomorrow, it's there. Cost for filters and oil was $464.

I hate spring prepping of the tractors!!!!!

Bought the filters last fall, some from a MF dealer, and some from Davenport Auto. Will do the change in the next couple of weeks.

I just serviced my 1720...

Had to get a Wix filter in lieu of the New Holland due to my local dealer closing the doors...

O'Reilly's did not stock the filter in the store section but had it behind the counter...

Around $7.00...

Did the service this morning...

No problem...

I like Wix filters...

They have a manufacturing facility close by in Gastonia...

Great to support the local economy...
