OEM Fluid Filters for Yanmar 276D

Can anyone tell me what are the best OEM Filters for my Yanmar 276D? It appears through my research that "will fit" filters aren't all good as the Deisel should have better filtration. I would like the OEM part numbers and any equivalent numbers for deisel. I want to change all filters. Thank you...

My local small Farm Supply said a B179 Oil Filter. Does this sound right? They had two listed for the YM 276, I suggested one was for a deisel.

The B179 is not the correct oil filter for your YM276 tractor. It is only 2 1/4" long.
The oil filter you should be using is a B 168, which is 5 1/4" long or the Yanmar filter.
I only sell Baldwin or Yanmar filters.
I also have the air filter, hydraulic filter and fuel filter for your YM276.

Thank you. I just returned from the store and saw this message. Their catalog showed both for the Oil filter. I questioned whether the two were because one for Gas the other for Deisel. They thought both were interchangeable. The hydraulic they list is the B2, fuel PF981. They aren't a Yanmar dealer so could be they didnt know. I wanted to get it done today, maybe not now as they only had the B179...

Gjamtrac I believe deals in Yanmar tractors so he's giving you he's best advice. Think I would go with that.. The other might work ,or a in pinch.

Thank you. I appreciate the reply. Yes, I agree, I don't believe the store was knowledgeable about Yanmar specifically. My dilemma was getting something here today so I can get to work.

I need to return the B179 and it seems the other one in their catalog was a B247. Is that one incorrect also? I appreciate the help. How much is the B168 with shipping to NY? I have a helper today but maybe for next time! Thank you...

I have not seen it mentioned, but as you change your hydraulic fluid, be sure to clean the screen. This would be separate from your spin on filter.

Thank you. I appreciate that advice. Can you tell me where the screen is located? This is the first time I had a Yanmar and I'm not too experienced.

On a YM 276, I am not sure. It should be a triangle shape plate with 3 bolts. Near the rear axle on the main housing. I do not know on that model which side.
You may check Hoye’s web site and see if they have a diagram for your model. Hydraulic fluid will come out unless it has been drained. You may still get quite a bit of fluid even if drained.
