New (to me) Kubota B2630 Looking to exoand my knowledge ......

New here with my B2630, well kept with only 720 hrs. Looking to put a back hoe on it and do some sewer lines & such. It seem like an awesome forum for answers & hope to have fun.

I think the best way to get to know a machine is to open it up and see what's inside, and ask questions.

That's how I learned to wrench turn when I younger -- you ain't going to school for these things... well you can but I've found that the best experience is school of hard knocks.

Yea that’s a fine idea for something that’s broke and even a slim hope of getting it back together is better than throwing it away. For a tractor that’s currently not broke that’s a terrible idea.

I didn't mean it in that way... I meant open the hood, crawl underneath, and take a good gander and see what's there and ask questions.

I don't literally mean take the tractor apart. Well you could, but that just opens up Pandora's box.

I would just get some good experience with your tractor. Read the operators manual throughly. Order the Service manual for your tractor. Always stay focused and be safe on that tractor. Its incredible how unstable tractors become under heavy loads and on slopes.
