Just thought that I would introduce myself, my name is George and I bought a ym1600d about 2 weeks ago and know absolute nothing about it, so I will probably be on here alot. the first thing I need to know is how to check the gear oil in the front axle. someone told me it is a bolt on the right side of the front axle, but I have 2 bolts on the right side, one about 1" and the other about7/16. the 1" match's the one on the left side. I sure am glad I found this forum, it is great.

Hmm, mine was really obvious on my 1510D, but if there are bolts that match on both sides, sounds like it is the 7/16". Sounds like you could really use an owner's manual. If the person you bought it from didn't give you one, try contacting one of the dealers on this forum (LMTC, Hoye or Ernie) to buy one. It is a very handy thing to have.

Welcome silverdollar6,

You might try the Hoye parts site, and look at some online parts manuals.
