Sounds pretty expensive to me. I like orange tractors but gravitated towards the Korean version. $25K will get you 45 hp, HST and double the loader capacity if you look at other brands. Or you could save about six grand and get the same hp and loader capacity. Kubota tractors are superb but you won't find any complaints from folks who bought Mahindra, Kioti or Bobcat instead.

I honestly don't know about the price, but the 3540 is really a nice little tractor, I seriously considered buying one, but need more power and got a bigger tractor.

I was quoted $24300 for the 3540 with the standard loader and 66" bucket. That includes the discounts.

For a Kubota 3540, 724 loader, round back bucket, 3rd function valve, Landpride RCR1872 bushog, R4 ties loaded, and a canopy I paid $24,500.
I almost bought a Kioti but after running the HST+ transmission I am so glad I didn't purchase the Kioti. I had issues with a dealer and I absolutley know I made the right decision. God luck

Can't say if it is a good deal or not without more info. There are many different configurations on the Grand L's that can greatly influence the price.

Where you live will vary the price. Overall I would say that you should be able to get that tractor (I'm assuming it's an open station with the heavy duty loader) for about $23k excluding the promo money, so figure $22k if you pay cast would be a good price. $21k would be a great price. $25,800 sounds like full retail to me.

Call or go to Barlow's tractors website. They are a Kubota dealer and ask for his best price. Even if you don't want to buy from them it will give you a good idea what a good price is.

What I can tell you is the Kubota HST+ transmission is a leap beyond most other tractors. As you get seat time you will realize that it was the right choice.

I'm new to this, going for my first tractor.
I expect the dealer gave me the "tire kicker" price because I really didn't know what I wanted, still don't for sure, but getting there.

I visited the closest Kioti dealer today and expect I got the same type of price, $24,900 for the DK40 with loader - seems real high?

Anyway, Your responces are very helpful and I appreciate you all taking the time to share your knowledge!

It does seem high. Did that include either cash rebate or zero percent financing? Kioti usually has some deal going.

You might also compare the DK35 which is performance wise the same as the Kubota you are looking at but most agree that the DK40 is the best bang for the buck. Also check the Bobcat CT440 which is a DK40 with different paint.

It included the rebate, however the salesman did say that the owner wasn't in so he couldn't offer a better price until he checked with him. I'll post what he comes back with.
