The fuel gauge stopped working correctly around 1000 hours and it now has 2000. I try and put fuel in it maybe to often. Example : Used it yesterday pulling a 8 foot york rake backwards for about two hours at 1500 rpm. I went to put fuel in it today and it is full in less than a minute. I thought the weird tank was vapor locked. The tank itself is higher the back than the front with the exception of the filler port. I took what I thought was a air relief hose off in the rear. I checked the tank and it was 4 inches from overflowing. I blew air into hose (40 psi) with fuel tank cap off for 5 seconds. That blew about a gallon or more of fuel out of the tank. That must mean the tank was full, and tractor uses far less than the 3 GPH stated in the manual. Being on the same topic ! the hose next to the fuel cap used to have fuel returning to the tank before I converted to a electric fuel pump. The electric fuel pump puts out only 5 psig. I did buy a JD replacement that puts out 45 psig, but has been running good for many years with the one thats in it. I know the air I put in rear hose is not connected to that line, because fuel level was below it. The gauge reads empty. Is there any aftermarket parts to make repairs. Does anyone know if the float system and wires are accessible. Thanks
