Evidently the tach is powered/supplied by a single wire connected to a post on the back of the alternator. This is a Lucas alternator with said post near the top slightly to left of center. I'm assuming this an AC voltage tap. Parts book only shows one option so I'm guessing this should be the correct alternator for the application.
Anyone have access to a source that might provide information on what voltage range can be expected from this tap?
