Mowing New Holland 451 sickle bar mower belt

Hello,

Does anyone know what size drive belt a New Holland 451 sickle bar mower takes? I'm feeling a bit ripped off from recent dealer parts purchases and want to see if I can find one more directly.

They don't give the length or width in the parts system but they are only 41.64 which I don't think is that bad of a price.

It would be the same size as my 456. I found a "close enough" match at a car parts store but it wasn't wide enough and slipped until I took most of the slack out. It didn't last long and I replaced it with the expensive NH version. It's been on there almost 5 years and I'm planning on buying a spare before the spring. I hate paying the NH prices, but at least their parts usually last.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I will go with NH. I thought that I could beat the system but I was a little worried that a fudged replacement might not make the grade.
