Bobcat CT230
I just wanted to say hello, and thanks to everyone who posts here. You all help me in making a difficult decision, alot easier. I just pulled the trigger on a new Bobcat CT230 last friday. I used this forum to help gather information, and being that Bobcat is brand new in this business, I was a little leary at first, but I feel pretty good about my decision.
I can't wait to get it, but I have to wait a little while. The dealer is installing a set of Hyd. remotes on the back, and they are backordered. It's tough to sit around and wait, but I know it will be worth it.

May I ask what your plan/attachement would be for using the hydro remote on the back?

You'll be waiting a long time for those remote hydros. The dealer I just bought my CT230 from said he's been waiting for a long long time for B/O'd remotes for another customer. Seems the parts division didn't expect to be selling so many tractors! Hopefully they are ramping up production on parts.

I don't have a specific attachment planned for them, but I'd like to have them for future possiblities. I thought perhaps a log splitter, or even to run hyd. tools such as hyd. pole saw. I'm about 90 miles away from the dealer, so I thought it would be easier to have them install the remotes before they deliver the tractor, but if they end up taking too long, I'll have them deliver the tractor and install them at a later date.

My dealer thought he would be receiving the valve in the middle of next week, so hopefully that's the case. I work in an industry that deals with hyd. valve manufacturers, and I know how they can be. My fingers are crossed.

Take that thing home! Mine was the same plan, I wasnt bringing it home till the backhoe was installed...... 2 days later I changed my mind. Glad I did! You just never know when them remotes are "actually" going to show up. Your just depriving yourself at this point not bein able to play...er ah. I mean get all that work done..
