I posted about going with a 4 or 5 footer. I called around and you wouldn't believe the prices I got. TCS, $419 for a 5'. Called one local tractor place..$580 or $680!!! Decided to call the local COOP (figured they would be to steep), and to my surprise they undercut everyone. $340 (no tax farm) for this Texas Red 5' with the 5 scrapers. Cutter front and rear. Even came with all 3 pins needed. It's fairly heavy by the way my L2500 acts but it works fine. The turfs I just put back on aren't the best for BBing with with a little patience they do fair. The ags would work better. But I got a couple areas leveled out without a problem. After I drug with a skid for the final prep. All in all I'm pretty happy. I don't think my L2500 is going to tear this thing up. If you are in and around East Texas (Elkhart) it is the local Coop, I can give you the number if you want to price check. They actually have a lot of stuff our there.

That's a pretty nice boxblade for the money. Now all you need is the Top-N-Tilt to adjust the draft and tilt on the fly from cutting to smoothing and crowning.

That would be nice but I'd have to add all the hydraulics on this base model with no FEL. Long payback for that. I just have to figure out a way to make it look old for you know who. Hehe it's sitting in the woods at the moment, yep I'm scared!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now Rob,
Not so fast there, you could also use the hydraulically operated scarifiers also /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats on the new BB, looks like a pretty good deal /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just cancelled mine I had on order at TSC for 6 weeks and bought a Bush Hog which was much more $ than you spent /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hi Scott,
I know, I know...that's why I didn't bring THEM up. But I got to tell ya how truly neat that thing is working. I say Top'n Tilt first with rear remotes, then hydraulic scarifiers. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That BB is an exact copy of my 60" King Kutter.
