I had one that was triggered by a old airplane that flew over sometimes. We live about 5 miles north of a small airport. That was awhile ago, my new ones don't seem to be affected.
Our neighborhood was on the flight path for a regional airport and back in the 60's... doors would just open.
One neighbor put his door on a timer... so it would only work at certain times... he had no more problems.
The old key switches have been a real problem... local thieves learned how to bypass them.
