Too easy. The spiders would go to the local fabric store and buy extremely fine silk thread to construct a web.

Perhaps at that point in time flies hadn't yet evolved the ability to fly. We might have referred to them as "walks" instead of flies, had we been around. Spiders could have just run up and grabbed themselves a walk.

Prehistoric spiders could could fly, they flew in formation and swooped in on flies by diving out of the sunfield so the flies couldn't see them until they opened fire with the bazookas that were originally in the hole where the silk membranes are today. The prehistoric world was a dangerous place!
