My dog's not doing well

I had to laugh. At first when I read your comment, I thought you fed farm cats to the dogs:ROFLMAO:

Point being, you feed anything living, it costs money.

What people tend to forget is the same can be said for children of their own.
Unfortunately the all the dogs love cats and protect them from all threats.... Except my old guy will break up cat fights (he breaks up duck fights as well.)
Yes it's not cheap but it is the live I want...... I did price Farmer's Dog once before we had the big girl. They quoted $240 per WEEK to feed a pack of 5. I can hunt a lot and/or raise beef for less.

I don't raise beef but buy it from a buddy, and generally that goes to the two legged animals vs the 4 legged animals.

One cat doesn't trust our dogs, but the other seems to be a dog himself, and he and all the dogs get alone LOL

I think though we are on the same page.

IMO generally dogs that are found eating "raw meat" from livestock no longer need to eat anymore due to the livestock owners (vs a dog finding a roadkill).

Like the energy debate, it would be nice if we all lived in a perfect world.

True that, eating someone's livestock without permission is a death sentence...

I do raise my own beef so I can supplement their diet for a lot less than buying it.
Mine do not attack livestock or deer, etc. Now a couple will catch their own squirrel or rabbit when the opportunity is presented.

My daughter is back home and says Mason is back to normal. She actually says he's spunkier than usual. He's still taking the steroids the vet gave us, but we'll start weaning him off and see if anything changes. I have a flight home tomorrow, so it'll be good to see him myself and get more details of what the vet said.

Thanks for everyone's kind words. If we ever learn what caused the issue, I'll be sure to report back.

@gsganzer

It hurts my heart when a dog falls ill. It made my day knowing your dog is doing much better.

Love them dearly every day, because they aren`t here for a long time.
