My dads new toy

My dad has wanted a D15 or D14 for several years, he has always been partial to the original orange. Anyway I found this one on Craigslist a few days ago and judging by the pictures he had listed I printed it out and told my dad if there were ever a D14 in good shape this one looks like it. He went to look at it today (100 mile drive) and he took the trailer just in case. He said he gave the guy a check and loaded it before the seller changed his mind. He said he was very surprised at the condition of it (still original), and the price. He honestly didn't know how anyone who knew anything about those tractors didn't snatch it up already. It has a leaking power steering line and one small dent in a fender, other than that barely any surface rust. A tad bit of oil around the PTO shaft but what tractor really doesn't have a little right there. Paint is flaking off in places but literally it can be ready to paint in 1/2 a day with minimal prep work. A few gauges need replaced to original gauges. My rough estimate puts this at less than $500 to be a show quality machine. This is my dad and my 2 year old on the maiden voyage from the trailer to the garage. The pictures were taken with my phone and i will try and get a few up that I will take with my camera.

So.....how much did he have to give for it????????

My dad has always wanted a D14 or D15 as well. But never could find one in his price range that he though was worth it.

He was never seriously looking either though. Since the 8n does everything he needs. He has just always said he would love to have one.

Do you know what year it is?

Dad might know but I didn't ask, and I didn't look the serial number up to see. He won't let me say the price to anyone as he might resell it. He likes it, but at the price he bought it he could sell it as is and make money. He is torn on it, but in the meantime he is planning a full out restoration on it. He really wanted a D15, and still does, but that won't stop him from aquiring a full range of snap coupler implements and having fun. This does have the AC three point conversion on it. I should ad the tires on it are great, fronts are almost new and the rear has alot of tread just some weather cracking, but not much.

nice looking old tractor.well he dont have to say what he gave for it.tractors like that usually go for $500 to $2500 unless some1 knows what theyve got.ive seen show ready tractors on craigslist for $3000 to $5000.

This one is a 1959 model. I saw the grille for this tractor hanging in his garage with a fresh coat of paint on it.

Whats funny is he has a golf cart that he uses often when he drives back to my house or tooling around in the yard. He also has a nice new Honda 4 wheeler, since he got this tractor the only time the golf cart has moved was if my mom used it and the 4 wheeler he has only been on to move out of the garage to get his D 14 in. Other than that he is on that D 14 all the time.
