MF 261 won't start

Hello new here. I hope you can help. I just bought at auction a 261 serial# 5971 F 23038 I think it is a 1997 model. It has sat for about 11/2 to 2 yrs. They said it ran when parked. I have not been able to get it to start yet. New battery, fuses and board in bad shape. Do any of the fuses have anything to do with it running. I am trying to find books, but don't have them yet.

I just need to know where to start, in order to get this thing running. Thanks and GodBless, Merry Christmas
