Comparison MF 1710 with loader and bh vs. kioti ck2610 with loader and bh

I am considering buying one of these tractors. This would be my first tractor. Would be used for landscaping around my home ( 1 acre ) and some land clearing. Possibly used in my business. I am a GC. Both dealers approximately 45 minutes from my home. Kioti is more expensive. Is it worth the extra $? Any advice/experience appreciated.

I don't consider Kioti inherently better than MF. What I found was that I liked the Kioti better. Significantly enough that MF was no longer in the running. LS was my 2nd choice.

But it was all about comfort and ergonomics, not about quality, which seems comparable on most good brands these days.

added: That is for comparable specs, of course.

the Kioti 2610 is much larger. Did you price the 2510?

I shopped for Kioti before buying my Massey GC 1710. If I remember right, a big difference was it had two seats-- one for the tractor and one for the backhoe. My Massey has one seat that spins around to do double duty. Some people like a 2nd seat, others feel it is very much in the way. I'm OK with the single seat.

Out of all the SCUTs, I found the fit/finish and quality on the Massey to be best. But there are other good choices of course. My 1710 works on my 2 acre property and it has done excellent work. I pushed it into service over the winter on a larger property and it did very well there also. Good luck with your decision!

I looked at the 2510 but it was too small. Have not had a chance to eyeball the 1710. Have only seen it on website. Is it significantly smaller than the Kioti 2610? Also have a line on a John Deere 1025R for a good price. Any experience with this one? Thanks for your reply.

In your estimation, is the 1710 significantly smaller than the 2610? There is a Kioti dealer near me and I had a chance to view the 2610. The MF dealer is a little farther away and I have not had a chance to eyeball the 1710?
Did you ever consider the JD 1025R? There is a good promotion going on right now and they have them at a really good price for one with a loader and bh which is what I need.

I looked at a bunch of brands in my search including Kioti. The CK2610 is a compact tractor while the Massey GC1710 and JD 1025R are sub compact tractors and are smaller. For an apples to apples you should look at the CS series from Kioti. The Massey equivalent of the CK would be the 1700 series (non GC). I ended up with the Massey as I felt that was the best value in the sub compact space and fit my needs. In my opinion its has the best BH of all sub compacts. While you can do a lot with the sub compacts it will take you longer in some cases to accomplish a task, like digging out a tree stump. To give you an idea on pricing, I paid about $16.5 for my GC1710 with the factory thumb option. A compact TLB would be more like $30k or so. Take a look at the Kubota B26 TLB as an example.
