Took a break from the heat, getting too hot to handle 600-800 plus pound logs by hand, good thing my old MF 7' blade can take the weight (with me on the tractor for the larger ones, no front weight).

Dropped these in mid-April, still quite wet. Wasn't sure of the setup of the mill a friend dropped off, was going to make ramps to the bed but found this is just as quick and a lot less grunt work.

Really nice 135. Mine is a 1964 MF135 diesel Deluxe with MultiPower. It's in my shop now (pto rear seal leaks, oil leak somewhere on the engine).

Thanks guys, sure is helping speed things along. I've got about 650 sqft 5/4 boards sawn (6,8,10 and 12 inch widths) and maybe a dozen 2X6, half dozen 4X4 between yesterday and today. Took a while to get used to how the mill likes to cut.

My 135 has a bit of an oil leak too, changed the oil last month and didn't get a tight seal around the filter shroud. Thought about getting the spin on filter adapter but I'm a little hesitant, spend a lot of time in the woods around brush, would hate to poke a hole or worst, shear it off. Always conscious of where your driving but it only takes a second to be distracted with something else.

The MF135 is one sweet looking tractor. Mike I always admire a person who makes the best use from what is available. You don't need no stinking loader,

You were handling those by hand? they look very heavy, the tractor seems like a great back saving idea to me. Save the back from injury, you only get one of them. The heavy stuff is what the Massey is made to do.

Although I'm looking at getting a newer tractor with a little more capability (4 wheel drive / FEL etc) it's not because my 135 has let me down at all, just have to exercise a little ingenuity and patience and she always pulls through.

Fwd would be awesome, and a fel would be super! and maybe I would have went a little farther last weekend with it. , I was trying to find the old road down to the small creek in the bottoms, sorry but when half the tire is coming up wet and still not sure where I am, I backed out of there. will find it eventually and clear it out, like it used to be when I was a young lad. Will have to take some pictures, such a interesting place.

Hi Billy, 135s are great machines but the don't float too well :laughing:.

Slow and steady wins out every time, you'll get there, especially once your wife gets in there with her new tractor to show you how it's done. :thumbsup:
