hi! I recently start working on a McCormick International B275 that have been sitting in a barn for the last 8 years whiteout getting fired up once. I have a good batterie and change the diesel in the tank. The starter run good, the fuel injector seems to be working as they should cause i can see white smoke coming out of the exhaust and I have pull out one too look on there shape. The engine always seem to be on the edge too start but never get the detonation to be working good on is own. The glow plugs seems to be working just fine and I have reason to believe that the compression seems ok by the way the engine run when I shoot ether in the air admission. If someone could help me!

You need to check if your glowplugs are connected up correctly
1. connect 1and 2 and then 3 and 4 (with big eyes on connecting wire)
2. Then 2 and 3 ( small eye wire)
3. Last power supply on 4 ( small eye) and earth on 1 (small eye wire to 5/16 eye bolted to engine)
4. power comes from the resistor (check if thats still ok and starts to glow when power is supplied to it ) NO MORE THAN 5 SEC !

I had take a look on the glow plug and they seems fine, i've read that maybe the fuel pump could be not on time with the engine and this could cause the problem, I know my grand-father as always start the engine whit éther. I've try to shoot some hot air in the air intake to see if could help but the engine did'nt star either. I don't know if have a idea of what it could be then...

Starting with ether can ruin the rings. May require ether to start now.
