I have a Mahindra 4510. I want to remove the gauge cluster to access the starter switch. I removed two phillip head screws and the cluster wants to come out except the top edge will not release. Anyone ever have one out or ideas? Thanks

Not sure how it is on your tractor.
On my MAX 24 I had to remove the metal band in front of the tank and the bottom plastic cowling below the dash board.
What issues are you having per the ignition switch?

With a brand new battery and clean ground and positive connections the dash light will not come on every time. When it does it seems dim or weak and sometimes brightens up some. The horn etc. will work when the dash light is on, not when it is off. When it is on and I try to start it nothing will happen and the light is then out for awhile. On a rare occasion it will click a bit like a dead battery but only for a partial second. I have tapped on the starter and moved the tractor with another just a couple of inches with no better luck.
If I ultimately cannot get it going I will have to have someone out or winch it up on a trailer.

Ok, on my tractor there are two phillips head screws below the steering wheel that secure the dash to the tractor that need to be removed and it sounds like you already did that. On my tractor there is a metal flange that runs between the dashboard and the hood. There are two bolts under the hood that need to be removed and then, and this is just on my MAX 24, there are two rubber grommets down at the bottom on each side of the flange. Remove the the grommets and take out the two bolts that hold the flange in place. I had to close the hood to remove the flange. With that removed, you will be able to access the top two bolts that hold the dashboard.
Not the same model tractor as mine but hopefully this helps point you in the right direction.
Check this out if you haven't already. Sounds like similar issues.

Thanks for your input. We will see how similar they are. I was unable to open/access the posting you gave however on the electrical.

The link opened for me now. Thanks. I read it and will try all that I can do. Hopefully a successful report. I cannot get there before Thursday PM.
