I am sitting here waiting to go to the fireworks and thought I would see if anyone knows why my tractor will not start.
I got this tractor late last year or early this year and have over 300 hrs on it and for the most part love it. However my son was running it yesterday unloading round bales from the trailers. He says it ran perfect and was not short on power. He shut it off last night and this morning it will not start. It did rain about 8 tenths pretty hard last night and it was sitting out. It is almost like the fuel shut off is pulled out. It cranks over fine but will not fire or start. I am wondering if the selonoid or what ever it is called on the top of the injection pump is working. The fuse inside the cab is not blown. I pulled the wire off the selonoid and checked for voltage on the 2 wires. With the key on nothing. If I touch a ground on the tractor there is 12.3 volts. I set the tester on continutity thinking the other wire is ground. touched the frame and the wire and nothing. Not sure this means anything but that is what I did.
Any thoughts before I call dealer in the morning to have them come out.
I do have fuel in the tractor.
Thanks
Tom
