Long 350 fuel leak

Fuel is leaking from the injection pump around the tx16444(timing ****** device) which is located near shutoff rod on side of the pump,just wondering if i can just unscrew it and replace it without anything falling out.Has anyone have this problem ? Thanks

If your talking about the 3/4 banjo bolt looking device on the bottom of the pump and has the small rod protruding from it.?? There are 2 different types.. they both have 2 orings on them but 1 has a special Teflon sealing washer on it..& 99% of the time, it will stay up inside the advance hsg..
U can tell which one you have by the oring lands..
The one that doesn’t have the washer will have it’s own oring groove/land..
The one that has the washer will b smooth..
