I'm going to put up a shed for my soon to arrive 4010, but I don't know how long to make it. Could someone give me the approximate length of the 4010 with a fel and box blade? Does not have to be exact, just within a foot or so. In fact, I'll probably build the shed 4-6 feet longer in case I add a shredder or other lengthy rear implement. Thank you in advance.

My 4010 with FEL plus LX4 are about 17' long. It'll be a bit shorter with a box blade, but not too much. Why not round off to 20 ft?

Thanks so much, Ralph. I appreciate the reply. 20' sounds good.

You've got it figured out. A 25' shed will allow you to store your machine. A 30' shed will allow you to work around it while you are in it and store a few extra attachments. A 40' shed will allow you to store your machine, extra attachmnts, and set up a bench and shop area. A 40' x 40' shed will allow you to do all that and store your next tractor along side of this one

He-he, yes, you can never have a big enough shop/shed. But, the wife already thinks I've lost my marbles with the tractor deal. Throw in a 60x40 shed and I'd probably have to sleep in it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif At least I'd have room for a full-size mattress. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

bigpete LOL!

But there is a lot of truth in what you said! I have a 30x20 shed right now divided two "room" (one 12x20 and one 18x20). I have been thinking about a 10 to 20 feet addition for a couple years now. After I got the backhoe this summer it looks like I just don't have choice. So next spring I will probably have a 40x20 or 50x20 shed!
