leak in front differential kubota bx1830

i have a 2005 kubota bx 1830 which is leaking out oil from where the 4 wheel drive shaft comes into the front axel. when i removed the plastic cover, i could see that the shaft that goes into the front axel can actually move in and out about a quarter of an inch. after looking at the parts book blow up. i wondered if the oil seal cover screws off or is pried off, and i figure most likely one of the retaining clips let loose. has any body had to replace one and know any tricks or is it pretty straight foward and do i have a good idea on what is going on? thanks bill

You might call one of the Kubota dealers and see if you can talk to the Service Mechanic. He may just let you know. Is it under warranty at all?
