The geometry is spot on for smaller tractors, unlike most others on the market..

As some mentioned, using a full sized model could land you like this, or worse..

It is also VERY stressful on the toplink housing..

They make all sorts of PTO transmissions. Rear vs mid. Standard vs “economy” mode etc, but....

What applications would a reversible PTO be useful for?

PHD
Rototiller? Maybe not.
Unplug a snowblower? Maybe not.
A chipper, as a way to sharpen blades? (Didn’t some corn choppers have this method? Reverse direction than move a “built in” sharpening into place.) Maybe not.

Over last 3 years, i have drilled close to 200 post holes with my Woods 9" auger. All drilling has been in clay type soils. And you do need to build up a level of experience. I typically auger down at 1 foot increments, and clean out the hole by lifting up. Go back in and make another foot of hole, then lift and clean out the hole again, continuing to do this until proper hole depth is reached. I only bury the auger now about once every 10 holes. This spring, have another 50 holes to make for a split rail fence.
