Kubota Parts Shortage ?

I've been waiting 2 months now to take delivery of a new L6060 HSTC. Due to the disruption in the supply chain caused by the pandemic, the dealer is having trouble getting parts for the optional equipment I ordered. He says some parts have been backordered for 4 months and has no idea when the machine will be ready!

At this rate, I won't have the tractor this winter for plowing snow which is the main reason I ordered the new cab model. Oh well, hopefully I'll have it in time to mow in A/C comfort this summer.

Anyone else seeing delays like this from Kubota?

Its not just Kubota some parts are 6 to 8 months out on road pavers..

Yes.

My local Florida Kubota dealer is down to one (1) new tractor on his lot. Now is the beginning of tractor sales season in Florida. The weather is lovely and those Snow Birds who came this year are ready to buy.

New open station tractor inventory in June-July-August-September just sits.

It is not just Kubota.

Waiting 90-120 days for backhoe subframes, remote valves and other items seems routine. 60 days for some tractors is not unheard of.

Just about everything is delayed in some degree or another these days, its just the nature of modern inventory management where only what is needed plus a little extra is kept on hand and things are kept "lean". Good business 95% of the time, but when unexpected demand occurs it can really wreak havoc.

Looking at other industries, bulk computer orders of standard models are set to take ~20-30 days. Not good, but better than last year though where they took > 3 months!

ordering a standby generator from Generac...expect a 5-6 month delivery date. their production facility is staffed at aprox 25% due to covid

Yep, bought an M4 late September and told them I’d bring it back when the parts showed up. I took it back last week.

Right now most of Europe is on a level 5 lockdown. Meaning the the government is being very strict on businesses. They have been in level 5 for about a week and a half now... or something to that effect. Not good for commerce.

With the new folks in office, we might be not far behind Europe from another shutdown.

Kubotas supply chain seemed to be lacking before COVID. I bought in the summer of 2019 and it took weeks to get all my optional stuff. The dealer would give me a date and when I would call he would say that part is now back ordered and will be here next Tuesday or whatever. Next Tuesday would roll around and the date would change.

I am sure it has gotten worse with COVID.

Way before covid, 2017 when I bought my L47TLB had to wait months for the hyd thumb..
