Kubota L5460 - What front snowblower is reasonable in $

Hey guys,

Have a L5460 and want a snowblower for the front but cant seem to find many websites that sell different ones so i can compare and contrast.

I have a rear mount Erskine front blower on an MX 5100. Should have been quite pricey, but I got a deal on an old model. It's a freaking horse and I've never looked back (pun intended.) I can completely clear a foot of heavy-ish snow from an 800 foot driveway in about 10 minutes, including some pull outs and using caution near the house.

The problem is the drive and the mounting.

A reverser is typically required unless its a belt drive.

Pronovost makes a front three point hitch system that allows you

to attach a rear mount snow blower to the front using the three point hitch
mounting kit with a reversing gearbox that is powered by the mid PTO system.


For the money invoved you could buy rear mount
a foot wider than your mule with all the bells and
whistles with all the hydraulics and a HID rear
light system.

you could have a swivel seat installed too and looking back is
not very difficult.

lots of folks use large truck mirrors too.
