Kubota L4150DT
I have a Kubota L4150 DT and recently after moving a few piles of dirt, I lost all gears except for just a crawl in 1st gear. We changed all the fluid, filter and refilled with all new Kubota Hyro trans fluid but problem still exists.

Anyone know what the problem might be or how to fix this?

Thanks

Welcome to TractorByNet!

I moved your thread to the Kubota Owning & Operating forum. :)

Does the L4150 really have a hydraulic shuttle? I though you had to get up into the M series to get the Hydraulic Shuttle. My L3940has a Mechanical Shuttle. Its easy to use - but you gotta use the clutch every time.

According to Kubota parts hyd shuttle was an option on a L4150. BUT traction clutch or hyd shuttle could be slipping. I'd suggest checking shuttle PSI and clutch free travel. Will pto withstand a load??

A 4150 with hydraulic shuttle basically has two travel clutches in series - one is a dry plate & pedal, the other hydraulic. Very little torque is getting to the transmission, so low-low is the only gear able to move the machine.

If the clutch pedal linkage is not stuck partway down, the problem could be with the shuttle control. The 4150's shuttle control valve is inside the cowl under the instrument panel. Have a look to see if the linkage has come apart in there, leaving the valve between positions. With the steering covers off, the panel will lift up enough to see in with a flashlight. Good luck and let us know how you make out. Dick B

Appreciate everyone's assistance so here is what we have. I took up the instrument panel and checked out the shuttle control and all is good there then I decided to check the clutch petal itself. It looks like the person who had this tractor before me "modified" the linkage end so I decided to give the petal a bit less play and here is what happened. The tractor had forward and reverse gears but not at their full speed, but as soon as I went up a hill or decline there was a lack of power again and the tractor bogged down to a crawl again. This happened in both forward and reverse gears. Once we go to the flat again there was a jerking motion almost like It popped back into gear. Tractor has 1421 hours - given the situation here do you think the clutch is gone or is there a way to adjust it. thanks

Sounds as if the clutch is TOAST

From the description of how it behaves it's hard to be sure which clutch is malfunctioning - the foot pedal dry clutch or the hydraulic clutch pack.

Something to check is whether the clutch lever is binding (130 in the diagram). These get rusty in the pivots and can keep the dry clutch from engaging enough as the pedal is released.

It's possible the dry plate is worn out and has already been adjusted to the limit, but maybe it hasn't. Do you use the rear pto? Do you know if it disengages with the pedal down? The dry clutch is actually a two-stage affair with one disk for travel and a separate one for the pto. The travel disk can be independently adjusted through the housing side cover. Good to have a workshop manual.
